School-Based Occupational Therapy Services
With many years of experience working within educational settings, Children’s Therapy recognises the importance of delivering occupational therapy services directly within the school environment, where children learn and develop every day.
We provide on-site intervention in schools, which can include:
- Assessment and/or screening of identified pupils
- One-to-one or group intervention sessions
- Working alongside school staff and pupils within the classroom environment
- Observation and support within everyday school activities
- Providing advice and consultation to school staff.
Sessions can be arranged as one-off assessments or as a regular intervention . Advice and recommendations can be provided verbally, in written reports, or as a tailored therapy programme for individual children or groups.
Attendance at parents’ evenings and additional meetings outside of agreed hours can also be arranged at an additional cost.
Support Programmes & Training
We can support schools to implement structured therapy-based programmes and provide training for staff in the use of established resources such as:
- Handwriting Without Tears
- Rainbow Road School Occupational Therapy Programme
- The Zones of Regulation
We also offer training for school staff and parents, ready-made or tailored to the needs of your setting (please see our Supervision and Training Page for further details).
Fees & Quotes
Services are charged at hourly, half-day, or full-day rates, with competitive and reasonable pricing for schools. Bespoke quotes can be provided based on your specific requirements.

Support for Local Authorities
With the increasing number of children and young people with special educational needs and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), managing demand and meeting provision needs can be challenging for local authorities. At Children’s Therapy, we use our specialist expertise to support local authorities in identifying the needs of pupils and staff within educational settings.
We work collaboratively to:
- Assess current needs and areas of demand
- Collate and analyse relevant information
- Provide clear, practical recommendations
- Develop effective models of occupational therapy provision for service planning, new initiatives, or specific projects
Our aim is to support sustainable, high-quality occupational therapy services that meet both individual and organisational needs.
If you would like an informal discussion to explore how we can support your local authority, please contact us via our Contact Page.
